Megan has a new obsession with glasses aka "glashesh". She loves playing with them. We found her an old pair of sunglasses for her to play with.

I wish I could come up with something fancy and beautiful, but I'm no poet. All I can say is that I am so lucky to love and be loved. I know - and have been reminded many times throughout my life - that loving me is not always easy and a lot of times I don't deserve it.
Mike has never made me feel less than worthy though. Apparently, I found the kindest, most patient man in the world. And he makes me laugh constantly. I'm a lucky girl.
We had a lovely grown up evening out Saturday night, so for Vday, we had a quiet night at home with some steaks on the grill and a few glasses of wine. It was so nice.
I tried to get a good family picture. That was a major fail. But I got some fun pictures of two happy parents and one screaming toddler!
They don't read this blog, but thank you to my honey and my baby Goose for being the best Valentines a girl could ask for. I promise to do my very best to be as loving and lovable as you both deserve!

We were watching Glee last night. Megan loves music and singing. This week was the Michael Jackson episode and during the show, they sang "Human Nature". The word "Why" is repeated like a million times in that song...
You can see the way Megan asks questions. She is so cute when she shrugs her shoulders and holds her palms up and says "Where so-and-so?" or "Why?" You can also see how she shows that she really loves something. She wraps her arms around herself and says "Oooooh!" That's the sound that I make when I hug her tightly. So now, if you say, "Do you love

Yesterday was Megan's monthly birthday! I know y'all probably think that I'm way carried away with these monthly updates, but I look back at them often. This whole blog is really for me anyway, didn't you know? :) I'm actually toying with the idea of making it private or password protected or something...
Anyway, yesterday was just a regular day in our life. Megan went to Mimi-camp while Mommy and Daddy went to work. I ate lunch with her and my parents at one of our favorite Mexican places. Megs ate apple sauce and a few Cheerios. She's a super picky eater. I don't know where she gets it from! Oh yeah, she gets it from me.
Let's see...what's new this month. Megan is a major chatterbox. I've read about other moms noticing a verbal explosion with their kids around this point. Honestly, Megan's always been a big talker. It always seemed like she did a very good job verbalizing what she wanted. She has become very quick at picking up words this month. And she's putting them together to make sentences as well.
One of her favorite games is the "Where is
We also seem to be going through some separation anxiety. She has just in the last week started running to the door to greet me when I go pick her up! That is such a welcome change. She used to run to her Grandpa or cling to her Mimi. That broke my heart a little every time. Now, she wants to go with me and pretty much won't let me go when we're together. She wants me to hold or carry her all.the.time. If I'm working in the kitchen, she gets between me and the cabinets and pushes me away. LOL. She has also begun clinging to my legs. That one kinda drives me insane. She's certainly teaching me patience.
She is still in size 3 diapers and 12 month and 18 month clothes. Her little legs have gotten so skinny that her 12 month tights actually fit her better now than they did then! We need 18 month pants and shirts for length and head circumference.
Megan had her first major fever this month. It was pitiful. She was fine when I dropped her off at Mimi's but she called me at 10 am to let me know that Megan hadn't gotten out of her lap all morning. She didn't want to play and felt hot. I left work to take my mom some infants Tylenol and Advil and a better thermometer. Her fever was over 103. I called the doctor's office and made an appointment for later in the day. I snuggled Megan until the Tylenol kicked in and she ate a little bit and seemed to be feeling better. Turns out it was just some kind of 24 hour fever virus. She didn't have any other symptoms that we could tell; she was just so pitiful. She only wanted to cuddle and sleep and make little whiney noises. It broke my heart. I'm guessing she picked it up from our little trip to the park the day before.
One huge milestone this month: Megan began watching TV! She never really cared much for it before. She still doesn't, unless she's in the car. We have the DVD player below. It's great because it hooks on to the back headrest so she can watch it in her rear facing seat.
Megan has been watching Annie. She really loves the movie, she sings and dances and claps when her favorite parts come on. She sings "Baby" along with Annie in the first song of the movie "Won't you please come get your baby", she loves Sandy and she claps enthusiastically during the "It's a hard knock life" performance.
She is just now getting to bed (yes, at 9:19 PM. Apparently Mimi gives her 5 hour energy drinks or something!) so I'm beat. I haven't added pictures to this post yet but if I don't post it now, I might forget completely. I'll try to add the pictures later!
Here's a fun picture of Megan throwing a temper tantrum Sunday night. She's so silly. She actually throws herself on the floor now and writhes around. Oh the joys of toddlerhood!
